VIEW+
Awareness without vigilance is only half the job, so Smart VIEW+ watches for you - in line with ICAO GADSS recommendations, and with the thresholds under your control. The alerting set covers the scenarios that matter most: alerting to off-flight-planned-route positions, with the trigger distance configurable by the airline; alerting to flight plan altitude differences, with the altitude threshold equally configurable; immediate alerting on emergency transponder squawk codes 7500, 7600, and 7700; and alerting for missing position reports. Each alert renders visually on the map at the aircraft itself, so the anomaly and its geography arrive together. Compliance with global flight tracking expectations is not a project bolted onto the product; it is the product's ambient behavior - with the sensitivity dial in your hands, not ours.

Weather and NOTAMs

S4A Smart VIEW+ provides real time alerts and advises when specific thresholds are exceeded. The module significantly increases situational awareness and enables users to immediately and proactively respond to any potential disruptions. 

Tight integration with Smart MET and Smart NOTAM MANAGER allows the display of NOTAMs, highlighting of predefined keywords and preview significant Weather.

Weather is where situational awareness is won or lost, and Smart VIEW+ treats it accordingly. Within the basic setup, customers receive standard weather layers generated by S4A's own map generator from BUFR and GRIB data - Significant Weather, Upper Air Data, and Icing. From there, the layer catalogue grows to match your ambition: through integration with third-party weather providers such as DTN, internal airline sources, or other external sources, Smart VIEW+ can display radar weather, satellite imagery, volcanic ash, turbulence, SIGMETs, AIRMETs, dew point, icing, TAF/METAR, lightning, and much more. Multiple sources can stand behind the weather picture, with the airline deciding which feeds which layer - the same multi-source, rule-driven flexibility that runs through our entire integration approach.

Your map, your way: bookmarks and endless configurability

VIEW+
A situational awareness tool used across dispatch, flight watch, OCC management, and stations cannot assume one "right" view - so Smart VIEW+ doesn't. Users can save particular views as bookmarks: a precise combination of map area, zoom, active layers, and filters, recalled in one click. The Atlantic crossing view for the night shift; the hub close-up with runways and radar for the winter storm; the network-wide overview for the duty manager - each configured once, each a bookmark away, each shareable as a starting point for a role. Behind this sits near-endless configurability: which airports display and how, which weather layers render from which sources, which flight labels show, which alert areas are drawn - the map bends to the operation, not the reverse. Users effectively compose their own instrument, and the composition persists.

One system, one view, multiple possibilities

Perhaps the most underrated quality of Smart VIEW+ is how many different tools it can be, depending on who is looking at it. For the compliance officer, it is a GADSS-compliant flight tracking solution - configurable alerting on deviations, altitude differences, squawks, and missing reports. For the dispatcher, it is a weather tool — layered, multi-source, and current, from radar imagery to icing charts. For anyone in the operation, it is an additional view representing the flight route - the map-based lens on the same live truth others see as a Gantt or data grid. For planners and analysts, it is a canvas: custom areas drawn directly on the map that can be further validated by other Smart4Aviation modules - a geofenced concern that becomes an alerting rule, a defined region that other systems act upon. And looking at where the product is heading, it increasingly serves as a tool for flight planning and visualization on the map - routes, airspace, and constraints interrogated where they actually live: in geography. One system, many roles served; one view, endless possibilities.

Smart VIEW+, Smart MET, Smart NOTAM MANAGER, and Smart COMM can each stand alone - but their design intent is the ensemble. Tracking enriched by curated weather; weather sharpened by filtered NOTAMs; everything wired into role-based alerting; all of it sharing one interface philosophy, one sign-on, one platform. Because the module can be added easily to any Smart4Aviation installation on existing integrations, we're always glad to run a proof of concept with a detailed demonstration. Complete situational awareness isn't a luxury - it's a safety multiplier, and it's ready to switch on.
